Taylor’s 1987 debut single “Tell It To My Heart” cemented her future within the music industry and turned her into a bonafide international star. Dayne instantly rose to fame when her first two albums went certified platinum twice, followed with 18 individual hit songs that reached Billboard’s Top 10, earning her three Grammy nominations, an American Music Award, multiple New York Music Awards, a New York Music Hall of Fame honors and ranked as the “Number 18 Female Dance Artist of All Time” by Rolling Stone magazine. 

She is one of the very few artists in musical history to successfully crossover into almost every musical genre and chart within the Pop, Dance, R&B, Adult Contemporary and Rock categories. With a catalog that includes multiple number one hits; “Love Will Lead You Back”, “Prove Your Love” and “I’ll Always Love You” and has sold over 75 million albums and singles worldwide. Taylor is the writer of many of her own hits and responsible for lending her writing skills to other famed artists including Tina Turner’s song “Whatever You Want.” Her distinctive vocal style and powerful range created a unique vocal sound that helped define an era with her music. As the late 80s was ushered into the 90s, her chart-topping songs followed suit. Her cover of Barry White’s “Can’t Get Enough Of Your Love” and “Send Me A Lover” brought a strength and power to a female voice seldom heard in music. Taylor’s international radio and record success along with her stage presence and world tours took her musical message of love and passion straight to the heart of her fans and audiences worldwide. Her appearances extend to film, TV, and Broadway. The Long-Island native lived out her New York dreams by playing an Egyptian queen in Elton John’s Tony award-winning production of Aida, Mel Brooks Archie and Mehitable, to working with legendary composer Jules Styne to reprise the role of Fanny Brice on Broadway. Additional credits include Love Affair, opposite Warren Beatty and Annette Bening and Showtime’s Rude Awakenings. 

Her voice became stronger and more meaningful when she took on the job of being a single mother, via surrogacy, with twins. Dayne became a voice and an advocate for working woman, same-sex marriage, parenting and fertility. Her 2016 TEDWoman talk opened her career to more speaking engagements, inspirational and monumental moments birthed her memoir.

On February 14, 2019, Taylor released her first memoir, Tell It To My Heart, which landed on Amazon’s best seller list. A year later, Taylor Dayne competed in the fourth season of Fox’s hit show The Masked Singer. She competed as “PopCorn”, and made it to the semi-finals. Later that year, Taylor appeared on RuPaul’s Celebrity DragRace as a celebrity contestant “Elektra Owl”. In December ’22, Taylor was the Grand Marshall in Fort Lauderdale, FL for the Winterfest Parade. Taylor can now add Emmy Award winner to her CV. Her collaboration with Skip Martin, of Kool and the Gang, along with 29 legendary artists came together to revamp Curtis Mayfield’s “People Get Ready” to benefit the Atlanta division of St. Jude Children’s Hospital. After surviving her battle with colon cancer, Dayne continued to be a prominent voice by becoming an ambassador for the “Fit For The Cure” campaign in conjunction with Susan G. Komen and Wacoal. During 2023, she appeared as a judge on the Food Network show Battle of the Ages. In the second season of ABC’s The Golden Bachelorette, Taylor performed for the “senior prom” episode. 

For the 35th anniversary of “Tell It To My Heart”, Dayne released her cult classic song with a remix by electronic music group Cash Cash. Dayne released her new album called “Capital Sessions” on April 24th with producer Gregg Fields and performed new music with old classics on her “Love Me Tour” throughout the US. 

Taylor is not stopping anytime soon as she will continue touring in 2025 and will announce several exciting new projects. Currently splitting her time between Florida and California.
